Lighthouse Beach, Sanibel Island Watercolor Sketch
Share
Too tired to jump back on my squeaky rented bike and head home, I lingered the other week at Lighthouse Beach on the tip of Sanibel Island to add a beachscape watercolor sketch to my travel sketchbook. If you've looked at my paintings recently, you'll know that the plant life lacing across the beaches there represents to me a type of resilience and "knowingness" of nature that I find very reassuring. I love returning to these landscapes over and over with each visit to Southwest Florida.
